KURDISH CLOTHES DAY CELEBRATED AT ZAKHO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Students from KG 1 to Grade 8 in Zakho International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, celebrated the Kurdish Traditional Clothes Day on March 10, 2019.

The students were asked to come to school wearing Kurdish traditional clothing on the day of the event.  Celebrations began with raising the Kurdish flag and the day was filled with dancing and singing activities. The students took many pictures alone and with their friends and teachers as memories of this beautiful and colorful day.

The purpose of this activity was to give students the opportunity to celebrate an important day in Kurdish culture. The students enjoyed the day very much. “Kurdish clothes day is a special and colorful day, we had a great time dancing,” said a student.
